and poignant, vulnerable and outrageous." Kate Herbert - Herald Sun

essential theatre experiences. Miss this and you'll be sorry" Jason Blake
- The Sun Herald

"There's more than enough appeal in the savagely witty, trash-talking
surface and raucous rock-punk-country-ballad-whatever score." The Australian

the trashiness" Veronica Hannon - Sx News

"Aussie Hedwig isn't a musical, it's a rock extravaganza. There is only one

Hedwig and the Angry Inch explores the themes of bittersweet regret,
disappointment and the strength to survive. The love child of Marlene
Dietrich and Ziggy Stardust, Hedwig will rock into the Athenaeum Theatre
Melbourne.

Starring rock sensation iOTA as `Hedwig` and Blazey Best as ` Yitzhak', the
duo nurture the dramatic notes of the internationally celebrated cult-rock
musical Hedwig and The Angry Inch while delivering a high voltage glam rock
performance that fans have been dying to see.

Melbourne audiences will experience what David Bowie says is `the most
wholly rounded piece of rock theatre we have seen in years.` Vulnerable and
gritty, iOTA as `Hedwig` turns in an explosive, critically acclaimed
performance, weaving a reach tapestry of duplicity, loneliness, love and
stardom.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a rock 'n' roll odyssey tracing the fate of an
East Berlin boy (Hansel), whose escape to the west can only happen via a
tragic sex change operation and marriage to American G.I, 'sugar-daddy'
Luther, Hansel, now Hedwig, is left with a one-inch reminder of her past and
a few anger management issues.
