[Showtuners] Merry Christmas - 2006 past 2007 future

Dear Showtuners, 

Well I just want to take a little moment to say MERRY CHRISTMAS and I hope
you all have a wonderful safe and happy time over the festive season as we
welcome in 2007, which I am sure will be as much fun as 2006.

2007 is a big year for us with the remount of two of our most successful
shows "HEDWIG and the ANGRY INCH" and Christine Anu's "Intimate and Deadly".
Hedwig is returning to Sydney for a season at the Tom Mann Theatre in Surry
Hills from the 1 Feb for the New Mardi Gras Festival, tickets went on sale a
few weeks ago and are selling fast so if you want to catch this electric non

<http://www.ticketek.com.au/> . Saskia Smith will be replacing Blazey in the
return season as Yitzack it is sad to loose Blaze but we are all very
excited about working with Saskia and her splendid talent and wish Blazey
all the best in her season with the Sydney Theatre Company.  Christine Anu's
show "Intimate and Deadly" will see a triumphant return to play the
Tasmanian Festival called 'Ten Days On The Island' in March, I am very proud
of this show and so happy it is getting reborn so more people can experience
Christine's astonishing talent.  

It is going to be very hard to top this amazing year with the wonderful
establishment of the Sofitel Supper Club with my dear friend Nancy Cato and
Clive Scott at Sofitel Melbourne for the presentation of Faith Prince and
Chita Rivera in Melbourne, I have to thank the assistance of Martin Croft
(Cato's business partner) with getting the Sofitel Supper Club running.  We
had a blast with Faith Prince in both Sydney and Melbourne, she was a total
delight and stunned audiences with her immaculately crafted cabaret show.

Chita Rivera pretty much changed my life with her arrival in Australia, she
is a spirit and soul of immense quality and strength.  She helped me so much
with understanding my passion and vision and she is responsible for some
amazing developments and changes in my life both personal and professional.
Chita Rivera is in a class of her own, her unstoppable energy and love of
our art form  is something else.  I will work with this goddess again and
look very forward to that moment.  It was really a very very special time
and to think Chita Rivera was present at the opening of my first major
musical "HEDWIG and the ANGRY INCH" I had to keep pinching myself as being a
total Fosse freak you can't get much better than Chita at ya opening.

with Showtune these guys all have been like rocks to me over the years and I
owe each of them a lot I love the way they ended up in a photo together -
Lindsay Partridge, Anita Plateris, Andrew Worboys and David Penfold)  

It was a terrific year and I look forward to seeing you all at HEDWIG in
February to pull that wig off the shelf one more time! We have two fabulous
albums coming out in the new year on the Showtune Record label first will be
the long awaited Australian cast recording of Hedwig which will be available
from the 1 Feb online and at the theatre. The second is the first live
recording ever of Chita Rivera, we recorded Ms Rivera live at the Studio at
Sydney Opera House and this album will be released mid year and available at
Ms Rivera's live shows internationally and online via our site.
