Dear Showtuners, 

Announcing NANCY WILSON to play the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on May 4
is a true gift from heaven, this ladies stature in the music world is
immense. It is a great honour to be producing Ms Wilson's final Australian
performance before retirement. I have been trying to get Ms Wilson to Sydney
for over two years and finally in association with the Sydney Opera House
and Melbourne International Jazz Festival it is now a reality. 

LORNA LUFT was a complete sell out, we sold out three days before the show,
the response was so huge we have decided to bring her back. You can't keep a
good soul down, LORNA LUFT will be returning in May to play The Arts Centre
Melbourne, Powerhouse Brisbane, and all states in Australia until June 19.
We will also be touring to some regional towns spreading the great energy of
the GARLAND legacy through her golden hearted daughter LORNA LUFT. Brisbane
is already on sale, Melbourne will be on sale shortly and the remaining
dates will be announced next week, all details for current dates are on our

And guys, don't miss HATPIN it is only playing for two weeks at the Seymour
and some amazing (not to be repeated) performances are happening 8 times a
week in our city. Please everyone make sure you don't miss this new
intriguing piece of Australian music theatre.

Tickets went on sale for Nancy yesterday and the response has been huge so I
would suggest if you wish to not miss this gala event book soon.

from her 70th Birthday concert at Carnegie Hall where she stormed New York
in a triumphant concert shared with her closest friends including Herbie
Hancock, Kurt Elling and Dianne Reeves.

Performing her last ever Australian concert at Sydney Opera House, this true
diva will leave you spellbound with her timeless and sultry voice. 

Boasting a career spanning more than five decades, Nancy Wilson continues to
loom large as one of the greatest and most influential vocalists of the past
half century and at age seventy, exudes confidence and a vibrant presence on
stage.  She is a triple Grammy-Award winning artist with a voice that
embodies the nuances of gospel, blues and jazz.

Nancy Wilson's musical style is so diverse that it is hard to classify.  A
uniquely gifted song stylist, renowned for her interpretations of Gershwin,
Mancini, Ellington and Bacharach, as well as 60's and 70's classic pop hits,
jazz, blues and show tunes. Her versatility and ability to master multiple
genres is virtually unique among singers.

A story-teller of critical acclaim and unparalleled grace, Miss Wilson is
most renowned for her exciting collaborations with greats like Cannonball
Adderley, George Shearing and Ramsey Lewis which have earned her a permanent
star in the jazz constellation. By the 1960s, her album sales surpassed
those of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee.
